- Clean, very crisp pages with no writing or highlighting and little evidence of wear.
- Tight bindings and clean covers.
- Vol. 1: The Birth of Britain (1956 edition) 1964 ninth printing
- Vol. 2: The New World (1956 edition) 1962 -note the the front cover page is wrinkled from what appears to be the poor application of the book plate.
- Vol. 3: The Age of Revolution (1957 edition) 1964 fifth printing- a little wrinkling from a bookplate also a couple of pages have a small crease at the bottom.
- Vol. 4: The Great Democracies 1958 If the front cover is turned to the right angle, some spots that look like foxing can be seen. It\'s impossible to show in the pic. It blends completely in with the color of the cover.
