A LATE VICTORIAN, C1895, GERMAN CERAMIC CHERUB NURSERY OIL LAMP VGC & PWO:

This is a late Victorian, c1895, German ceramic cherub nursery oil lamp in the form of 3 cherubs, mounted on a foliage ceramic base, supporting a wicker type font which has a Gaudard Kosmos inline number 6 collar and burner.
The burner is fitted with a new wick and works very well. The burner is also fitted with a Kosmos inline 6 pigmy chimney.
The cherubs, font and base are in porcelain and on the underside displays the mark for Meissen. However, although the lamp was made at Meissen it could well have been finished at Dresden which was typical at that time.
The lamp comes with an acid etched and gilded shade.
As far as I can see all of the porcelain is in very good condition and I cannot find any chips or nicks.
