JOAN CRAWFORD (1905-1977). Crawford won a Best Actress Oscar for herperformance in Mildred Pierce. She was married to Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.

TLS.1pg. 7 ¼” x 10 ½”. September 17, 1973. No place. A typedletter signed “Joan” on her personal letterhead. She corresponded with Jean Dalrymple: “Your book with Fay Lavan ‘The Folklore andFacts of Natural Nutrition’ arrived on Friday and I’m delighted to have it andyou were so good to put me on the publishers list. I’m in the process of moving and I’m sure youknow what that means; weeding, discarding; my God, why do we collect so manythings? Like clothes we never wear,hats, scarfs, etc. etc. Than you mydarling, and much success on your book.”The letter is in very fine condition and one mailing fold that goesthrough the signature affects nothing.
