Description A VERY NICE 19TH CENTURY PENNSYLVANIA HANGING TOWEL RACK SHELF WITH DRAWER IN POPLAR AND WALNUT IN AN OLD STAINED SURFACE.
IT HAS A ROUNDED EDGE TOP AND NICE SHAPED AND SCROLLED SIDES WITH ITS ORIGINAL DRAWER WITH BRASS HANDLE.
POPLAR AND WALNUT, CIRCA 1860-1880.

A WONDERFUL PIECE IN A NICE OLD STAINED SURFACE AND COLOR.
THE ADDITION OF A FULL WIDTH DRAWER IS QUITE RARE.

THE CONDITION IS REMARKABLE, IT HAS NO REPAIRS OR RESTORATIONS AND NO LOSSES AND STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL TOWEL ROD.

THESE RACKS WERE USED IN THE KITCHEN AS WELL AS THE PARLOR TO HANG THE MORE ORNATE \"SHOW TOWELS\" OF THE PERIOD.
