This is a charming pair of small curio vases (3 3/4\"). The silver overlay decoration consists of sprigs of pussy willow over a dark brown patina. These pieces bear documentation of age as they were handed out as awards or trophies to runner-ups in some (golf ?) competition in 1924.The first one is inscribed the following: G. H.G. C. Mixed Foursome May 30, 1924 Runner Up Beth Bell. This piece has a small shallow dent right side of the decoration. The second one is inscribed the following: G.H.G.C. Mixed Foursome May 30, 1924 Runner Up J.C. Smith. There is a tiny hardly visible dent that seller needs to mention for the discriminating buyer. This is also on the farther right of the decoration. Both pieces are still in very good condition. No polishing done. Both bear the post-patent diamond mark. Each piece exactly weighs 6.5 oz.
