An EXTREMELY FINE AND RARE 18TH CENTURY Wrought Iron American Roasting Fork, New England, Circa 1740-1780 in great old surface with A VERY RARE INLAID BRASS HANDLE.
This is a very rare and unusual design feature in American Iron Ware.
Great condition, it is untouched and uncleaned with great old surface and patina. Rare form with added inlaid brass on the handle. Both original tines are still intact.
Great surface wear and wonderful hand forged tool marks throughout.
IT IS QUITE RARE TO FIND A BRASS INLAID FORK.
A great early and large example that shows wear and use.
