So imagine the man who was wealthy enough to purchase a watch of this quality, back when most people had NEXT TO NOTHING... Or was this watch a Gift? That would most assuredly explain why this watch is in such excellent shape, because it may have been given as a gift to one of the wealthy and basically just kept on a shelf to be admired or tucked away in a drawer, never to even see the light of day. Elinvar was derived from the words Elasticity & Invariable! This combination will make your Hairspring all the more accurate, which in turn will make your watch all the more accurate in all different types of Climate, Temperature, Elevation, etc.!
