A Rare Pair of Scenic Old Paris Vases LARGE & BEAUTIFUL 19th Century:

These vases were purchased from the estate of a former Belgian diplomat in Washington DC. These vases were created in France during the early 19th Century.
15.5 inches tall. The base of each measures 6 inches in diameter, 10 inches from handle to handle and 7 inches across the top. Considering the age of the vases, they are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. There is very slight wear in the gold accents.To find a surviving pair of such vases in this size and condition is extremely rare.The images decorating the vases are early transfers depicting sweethearts in idyllic rural landscapes and hand enameled. Brilliant gold frames the lovers scenes and there is hand applied enamel detailing.
The vases were glazed in an unusual burgundy with black handles. The backs of the vases feature a bouquet of flowers.
The unusually large size of these vases displayed together will make them the focal point of any room. Please see pictures for details.
