I have a beautiful Vintage and rare authentic Tibetan vintage hand carved and polished Agate chalcedony ‘5-eye Dzi bead’ - from my father-in-law\'s Chinese jade/hardstone collection. He died over forty years ago and this is one of his collection of several thousand items.

The Chinese have used a variety of Jade/Stone types for over 7000 years, producing weapons, work implements, buckles, dress adornments, funeral burial pieces for use in the after life, necklaces, pendants, statues, good luck charms, offerings to the gods, and pieces of ornamental beauty.

Jade in it\'s many forms was highly valued in Chinese society.

Here we have a beautiful 5-eye Dzi bead Pendant. This Dzi bead will bring the owner the blessings of the 5 directional wealth gods and bestow prosperity, longevity and success in every thing the owner endeavours to achieve. The 5 directional wealth gods are white- the accumulation of wealth, yellow-good luck and material gain, red-gain the services of useful people, more money,valuables and food, black-good fortune, Green-secure the fulfilment of success and wishes.

All the Tibetan Dzi carvings, pendants, buckles, Dzi beads, bracelets, necklaces and charms were created (as well as for the beauty seen in the item) for the ‘protection properties’ they possessed. They will have been blessed by a Buddhist Lama or Brahmin Priest. The agate chalcedony is believed to have a magnetic field that surrounds it 3 x greater than crystal. The carving of the Dzi is by man but created by the Gods, the Dzi beads are powerful talismans.

Look closely at the photographs, the pendant has been carved by a skilled artisan but created over time by the Gods. This 14- eye Dzi bead is 55mm long x 17mm thick at its widest point. It is supplied with a beautifully braided necklace similar to those shown in the posted photograph.
