THIS VICTORIAN ANTIQUE SILVER LOCKET IS A VERY PRETTY DESIGN, IT IS OF GENEROUS PREPORTIONS, A REAL EYECATCHING ITEM OF ANTIQUE JEWELLERY (See 5 pence and U.S. 25 cents in inset picture for size comparisons).
This large oval locket has a raised rectangular central area with a delightful finely worked floral spray engraving with patterned boarder. This central raised area is boardered at a lower level with a raised scrollwork pattering at all 4 quadrants. The locket has an articulating blown \'saddle style\' bail, this has an aperture of 4.0 mm. The reverse of the locket is plain surfaced apart for the hallmarks for Birmingham 1884 and maker\'s logo mark.
