A stunning eye-catching and visually pleasing Vintage runner which is in a slightly mottled woven beige material, perhaps a rayon mix.

It measures approx 35\" x 13\" (at widest point), each end having been formed into a large openwork brown silk thread basket which holds three large hand embroidered poppies and some sprays of tiny blue flowers, together with green leaves.

The two edges of the basket design have been bound at the back with a strip of material, to keep a firm unbroken edge.

Some of the embroidery which forms the poppy petals has come adrift, but should be easy to push through to the back again, otherwise there is just one small dirty spot on the material (see 5) as the runner is as obtained and I have not laundered it. The background colour is more beige than appears in the photographs.

A beautiful runner which will make a statement wherever it is displayed.
