A wonderful 18th Century verdure tapestry fragment, Circa 1730, featuring a large country house set in a classic countryside landscape viewed from the distance amidst trees and foliage. The tapestry is woven in wools and silks and is in good, stable condition for such a piece, showing its great age with the usualtypical, plucks, small splits and old repairs which add to the character and appeal of such things. The fragment had been mounted in a good quality deep oak frame which measures approximately 30 1/2 inches high, 21 inches across, 2 inches deep.Please see my other sales for more quality items currently for sale from my lifelong collection.
