I have a really beautiful hand carved depictions of a \'Han Dy Type Horse\' from my father-in-law\'s Chinese jade/hardstone collection. He died over fifty years ago and this is one of his collection of several thousand items.
The Chinese have used a variety of Jade types for over 7000 years, producing weapons, work implements, buckles, dress adornments, funeral burial pieces for use in the after life, necklaces, pendants, statues,good luck charms, offerings to the gods, and pieces of ornamental beauty. Jade in it\'s many forms was highly valued in Chinese society.
Here -this is a very tactile item, a very well hand carved depiction of a \'Han Dy Horse\'. This iscarved from a dark silky Jade/hardstone.
The carving is approx 90mm long x 83mm high x 30mm wide and weighs just under 300 grams. It could perhaps do with a clean, but maybe this would detract from it\'s originality and character. It is obviously quiteold.
I am asking very little for this beautiful hand carved Jade \'horse\'.Grab an attractive bargain for your enjoyment.
