A pair of Antique Luce Furniture Company Flame Mahogany dressers with mirrors:

This handsome pair of unrestored Empire flame mahogany dressers was built by the Luce Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, MI about 1910-1920. There are labels on the back of both pieces identifying them as having been built by Luce for Mr. Alfred J. Myers of Detroit, MI (see photo). The low dresser is 48\" wide, 24\" deep, and 34\" tall. The mirror adds another 35\" to the height. The taller dresser is 38\" wide, 22\" deep, and 44\" tall. The mirror adds another 26\" to the overall height of the piece. Both mirrors have beautiful patina from age, nice shadowing and not the ugly black marks you usually see. The mirror of the low dresser is mounted to supports attached to the dresser. The mirror for the tall dresser is hung separately, but it used to be mounted on supports similar to the low dresser. The supports are still with the tall dresser but they are damaged and will need repair (see photo). Both dressers are in very good condition, with just the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on pieces of this age. There is some veneer damage on the mirror support for the low dresser (see photo) but otherwise it is in very nice condition for its age. The finish on both dressers is in good condition and appears to be original. If you look from just the right angle there are some water spots and marks on the tops of both dressers, and I have tried to show these in the worst possible light for the photos. Photos were taken without flash so they are pretty accurate as to the color and finish. Free local pickup is available, or you can arrange for shipment. If you decide to have these shipped I will dismantle the mirrors and supports so that they can be packed separately to reduce the risk of any damage.
