Up for sale today is an eleven piece lot of early country primitive with no reproductions. Thewooden dough bowl is 12 ¾” in diameter. The base has a round flat pedestal. The bowl is very well used but no cracks or splits are found. The early wooden ladle with a bird like effigy on the end of the handle has never been stained or painted, It has a nice patina. The miniature originally painted mortar and pestle measures 2 ½” tall with a 1 ½” top diameter. The pestle is 3” long. The 5 ¼” opposing finger oval pantry box is 2 ¼” inches high. This is a nice 19th c pantry box often called a Harvard Shaker Pantry box. It is in very good condition showing the appropriate wear for its age. The two iron spatulas are also early 19th century. One has a round hanger at the top of the handle and the other has a hole in the metal to hang it. These are in very good condition. The wooden measure has a metal ring around the top and a seam down the side which is very secure. It is 5 ½” in diameter and nearly 4” high There are no splits in this measure. Another member of this lot is a fern design wooden butter mold which is 6 sided. The tin candle snuffer is in good shape but for I think a little taken off the tip because it is squared. Maybe it should be this way. Lastly the little metal bank is 2 ½” tall and a bit rusty. All of these antiques are genuine.
