In 1973 Abu hit another milestone in the production of first quality fishing reels. The Ambassadeur 5500C and 6500C were introduced. As you know in the ABU nomenclature ofnumberingreels, if the second digit was 5 or 6, it was high speed and if the numbers were followed by a \"C\", the reel contained ball bearings. High speed in this case meant 4.7:1.A few reels were produced with a production numberdating to 1972, making them highly collectible.

This reel is in excellent + condition. There are no marks on the rims and the endplates have only minor surface marks. It is probably unused. The production number of this reel is 781203, December 1978. The specifications are shown in the last picture.

The box is in excellent condition with only minor surface scuffing. Also included are paperwork, unopened wrench andoiler and a line saver that was never installed.
