Description:
BEAUTIFUL TALIO-CROME REPRODUCTION OF ARTIST Al Mettel's best work, "CHURCH OF ZAPOPAN".
The print watercolor is depicting a Church of Zapopan in the suburbs of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Detailed story behind this magnificent church, the artist and this work (which is considered one of his best) is attached by the gallery to the back side of the painting (see photos). I have enlarged it so you could read it.
The limited art print was originally distributed by Brown and Bigelow to valued customers to celebrate their 60th anniversary in 1956
About Talio-Crome: Talio-chrome is a gravure printing process, gravure being an intaglio printing method, hence the name: talio/taglio (the "g" is silent) I can't be positive about the chrome part, but I do know that modern gravure image carriers are often chrome-plated in order to increase their lifespan and increase the number of usable reproductions.
A wonderful print from a beautiful painting by a great artist! It would look great in your home or office!
