Obverse: Small bust of Nelson within a wreath surmounting his armorial achievement, the whole overarched by the wording \'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON D. OF BRONTE, and under this his famous signal \'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY\'. In base Nelson\'s dates between the legend \'HOSTE DEVICTO REQUIEVIT\' (The enemy having been defeated, he rested).

Reverse: A three-masted man-of-war under the biblical quotation \'THE LORD IS A MAN OF WAR, EXODUS C.15.V.3.\', and over the wording \'VICTORY OFF TRFALGAR OVER THE COMBINED FLEETS OF FRANCE & SPAIN OCT 21 1805\'
