This beautiful all brass caroffere bicycle lamp is from the artistry of the Joseph Lucas Company of Birmingham, England circa late 1800’s. The lamp is caroffere and I am told very easy to light and maintain even in current times, giving off a very brilliant light, not that anyone in todays world might actually use this masterpiece on a bicycle, but it is complete and can certainly be used as designed. It is just an extraordinary lamp of beautiful design that will attract collectors and interiordecorators whose attention might be on the living room bookshelf. The lamp stands 7” tall and has a front lens diameter of 4”. I have been collecting lanterns for the past 30 years, many to be rented as props for period motion pictures. I now find myself needing to down size and am placing my collection on .
