Circa early/mid 1800\'s. A fabulous handwritten music score even down to the lines for the music notes, all done in sepia script. 66 pages front and back. Written by Clement Guillou whose name is top right on the front page. Written on parchment paper and bound with thread which is ruffled on the edges, stained in places, ink splodges, finger prints, yellowing, some torn areas - see all photographs.
Music scores included are Ave Maria, La Cloche du Soir, Oui Mon Seigneiur, Sanctu, Cantique pour l\'elevation, Regina, Au clair de la lune (Beethoven) + lots more all are based on hymns or popular music of the day. Some of the scores have the words written for singing underneath which are either in French of Latin. There are parts explaining the \"Clef\" so perhaps this was a study book.
A fantastic step into time. Perfect for collectors, musicians, photocopy for decoupage/mixed media etc.
