Here is a fabulous, rare, carved hair, all original Schoenhut 101 character girl made in the early 1911 by the Schoenhut Doll Factory. Apparently this style 101 was the transition period and was only made from 1911 to middle of 1912. She is in excellent condition with perfect, deeply carved brown intaglio eyes white dots, marvelous sculpted carved hair, big round cheeks with dimples and a fabulous smiling mouth with carved teeth. She has her marvelous original drop waist dress, original union suit, her original shoes with holes or grommet on the bottom and best of all, her original Schoenhut stand. Now her socks are wonderful and have holes but I don’t think they are original. I have only had this Schoenhut 101 a couple times over the years but not with original everything including her Schoenhut stand and is absolutely adorable. She is a Schoenhut 101 and one of the harder carved hair Schoenhuts to find. She is 14 1/2\" tall and the paper label on her back is perfect. Her face is near perfect and her coloring is fantastic. She has wonderful big brown intaglio eyes with white dots that are perfect and the expression on her happy face is outstanding. She has huge dimples and full cheeks with the cutest wide up-turned nose, beautiful full upper lip along with her little carved teeth and a hint of her tongue. Her face is smooth to the touch but her brows are very faint but there. Her turned up nose is the sweetest thing and she doesn’t have a dent on the tip like so many have. There might has a tiny bit of rubbing and I’m sure she needs cleaning but I’ll leave that to you. Her deeply carved hair is excellent and is sort of pulled up on one side with a bobbed style to it. Her hair is very light so I’m sure it’s somewhat worn off. Her wood jointed body is in excellent condition with no touch ups, peeling or dings. It looks like someone has tried to clean her body as in the front it’s lighter and some of the shine is gone. She has a bit of wear around the joints but no much and her hands and fingers are super. She is nice and tight with original spring joints so she can pose any way you want. She is wearing her marvelous original antique drop waist dress in excellent condition. It has long full sleeves with lace trim and a wide V shaped panel with lace and smocking down the front to the waist. There is outstanding tatted workmanship and more smocking under the V again to the waist. There is a wide light pink silk sash around the waist gather under it so her dress flair’s out beautifully around the bottom. It has 3 rows of three lace insets I think it called along with the same delicate lace around the hem. Her dress has an attached layer of of a soft netting that helps her skirt hold it’s fullness. She also has an antique slip but I don’t know if it’s original but it’s the perfect length and has fabulous lace and more tatted designs. She has her original Schoenhut Union Suit that is excellent with delicate lace that forms a V with a silk bow at the end. It also has wide legs with lace trim on the ends but there is some repair on the front and back of the legs but it blends it well and buttons in back. She has a great pair of antique socks that do have a hole in the bottom but I don\'t think they are original. She has her fabulous original Schoenhut leather shoes have holes in the bottom and original ties and buckles on the toes. I’s extremely rare to find an original pair of Schoenhut shoes along with her original Schoenhut metal stand in outstanding condition. She is an incredible example of an early transition, all original carved hair Schoenhut 101 girl and she would be a wonderful way to kick off your holiday shopping. This amazing all original. including rare stand, 14 1/2\" Carved Hair Schoenhut 101 Character Girl seems to be selling well above $2500.00 but my reserve is less so don\'t let her get away.
