AN EARLY 19th CENTURY TOOTHPICK CASE WITH GOLD INSETS

For sale is this early 19th centurybovinebone mirrored hinge liddedtoothpickcase with gold inset basket weave pattern panels on the lid. Internally theoriginalvalour lining is present to the base and a mirrored inset to the lid, and there are two bovine bone toothpicks. There are some defects, see below, but this box is a fine example for a collector.

Conditioncommensuratewith age and use; there has been a repair to the rear (see photo 8) and there is a small crack to the frontedge of the lid (see photo 6 & 7), and the mirror has a slight chip at the top and \'fog\' spots, see photos 4 & 5. Please see photographs for overallcondition.

Measures 90mm long x 24mm wide x 13mm high.
