TRACING THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH IN THE COLONIES BACK TO THE LATE 1500s WHEN WE ONLY JUST STARTED TO HAVE COLONIES.THERE IS A GOOD DEAL OF GENERAL AS WELL AS CHURCH HISTORY, PARTICULARLY IN NORTH AMERICA AND THIS OCCUPIES MUCH OF VOLUME 1.VOLUME 2 CONTINUES WITH NORTH AMERICA BUT ALSO COVERS INDIA, BERMUDA AND CANADAVOLUME 3 HAS MORE ABOUT NORTH AMERICA THROUGH THE TIME OF THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE ISSUE OF SLAVERY AS WELL AS THE POSITION OF NATIVE AMERICANS.
THERE IS A FOLD OUT HAND COLOUR MAP AT THE BEGINNING OF VOLUME 1 AND A FOLD OUT CHART SHOWING THE ORGANISATION OF THE CHURCH IN BOTH THE EAST AND WESTERN HEMISPHERES.----------ALL 3 VOLUMES ARE BOUND IN PLAIN BROWN CLOTH WITH SOME BLIND STAMPING. THEY ARE REASONABLY STRONG BUT VOLUME 1 IS PULLING A LITTLE AT THE FRONT AND VOLUME 3 IS CRACKED AT THE FEPS AND PULLING QUITE A BIT.THESE ARE NOW OVER 150 YEARS OLD BUT NOT TOO MUCH BY WAY OF WEAR.
GENERALLY VERY CLEAN INSIDE BUT WITH SOME AGE TONING, THE ODD MARK BUT EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY READABLE.
