Beautifully decorated Antique French table clock created in the 19th century

In this ad we present you a beautifully decoratedantique French pendulum. It is very typical for the 19th century, or to be more specific, for the Rococo period and style that this work of art was made in. It has been fully checked and oiled by a professional clockmaker and above that,itworks perfectly.

- We see a hunting womandressed withtypical French clothes from the 19th century. On top of that we see a dog next to her. What we see is a beautiful Rococo style base on the lower part of this work, forming a strong yet incredibly sophisticated foundation for the rest. The women isprobably haunting.We then see the beautiful round cylinder form of the clock, andthat young women leaning on it. The level of detail in which thelady was created definitely shows how talented this maker was.
The clock has its original French movement with a stamp of Japy Freres & Cie.The clock chimes every half and full hour. The dial was made from enamel and has the Roman numerals. It is complete, with the winding key, bell, pendulum etc. It works the way it should. The women and the dog have its original color, the bottom is regilted. The item is in a very good condition but has some little scratches due to its age. It is a complete, original French clock.
Its measurementsare46 cm high x29 cmwide x 13 cm deep(18 inch high x 11 1/2 inch wide x 5 inch deep).
Fréderic Japy (1749-1812) was the founder of the clocks and the watchcompany Japy frères en cie, Beaucourt, France.He was clockmaker and an inventor.The company was, and probably still is a pioneer in the field of the fabrication of industrial hourworks.Adolphe Japy has had a vast influence on the industrial development of the mass production of clocks and hourworks.nAdolphe was an important man, he was a member of the French Légion d'Honneur and was the mayor of Beaucourt a couple of times. He died in 1897 in Paris. The works of Japy are to be seen as the top quality works of the industrial French movements.
