From what I can feel or see this is a small chip at the very back point of the shoe. This shoe is frosted and was made for the Centennial Exhibition in 1876. The top of the right side of the bow feels rougher then the rest but I don\'t see any chips and such there.

Pleaselook at the photos for better descriptions on the condition of theitem . Please offer accordingly. I try to describe the item asaccurately as possible. This would make a great addition to yourcollection.
