EARLY ANTIQUE CLOTHCAMPBELL KID DOLL TLC
RESTORATION ~ REPAIR
This old Campbell Kidis about 10 inches tall. She is a very early composition doll with a cloth bodyand limbs and old handmade clothing.
BACKGROUND Campbell Kids were some of the first E IHorsman & Company Dolls made in their factory in New York City around1909-1910. They were originally designed by Grace Drayton and the same cuteface has continued through the present day Campbell Kids Dolls. We found ourdoll on page 240 of Ursula Mertz’s wonderful Composition Doll book.
HEAD All of the original composition is completelygone from her face as if someone was going to replace it and didn’t for somereason. You can still see her curly hair and the famous smiling Campbell Kid face.She is still cute even with her painted composition face missing!
CLOTHING &BODY This darling doll is wearing anold handmade green dress with white trim. She also has an undershirt and panties.Her original cloth body seems to be underneath the underclothing she is nowwearing. Her arms and legs are jointed and can still move. Her shoes are black cloth.We only took off her green dress. We did not want to damage her cloth body orundergarments. We will show you as much as we can. Please look at the photosand ask questions.
SIZE This Campbell Kid Doll is about 10 inchestall.
CONDITION This antique doll appears to have been lovedfor many years. She is in poor to fair condition. Her clothing and cloth bodyhave stains and tears and have an aged brown color. Her face needs to have itscomposition completely restored. Her body seems to be OK underneath herclothing some of which has been sewn on. One hand is covered with a white cloth“mitten.” This little girl is still verysweet and when restored she will bring back happy memories of cold days andwarm soup!

Ourlittle cutie could also remain as she is and she would be a very good exampleof a very early Horsman doll. Her future is up to her new mom or dad!

OWNERSHIP: The Bill N Peg?s Interesting Things store is operated by Bill N Peg?s Interesting Things LLC, a limited liability company chartered in the State of Maryland.PAYMENT: As required by , we list only PayPal as a means of payment.SALES TAX: We collect a 6% sales tax from Maryland residents on purchases from our store, as we are located in this state.SHIPPING: We are usually able to ship within 1 business day of payment verification. We ship through the United States Postal Service, and we try to offer our customers the most appropriate postage options. We obtain a tracking number for each mailing.
SHIPPING CHARGES: Our basic shipping charge is set to cover postage and shipping materials, plus a small handling charge. We purchase postal.insurance for more expensive items, and requires Signature Confirmation delivery for items costing $750 or more. In some cases, we will require Signature Confirmation for certain items costing less. We add these costs to the total shipping charge for more expensive listings. If a shipping charge estimate is too high, we refund the appropriate amount to the customer after we have shipped the item and verified the actual cost.
COMBINED SHIPPING: We are usually able to offer combined shipping discounts. Assuming that multiple items can be appropriately shipped in one box, we begin with the charge for the heaviest item and add between $1 and $5 for extra items, depending on weight and additional packing material needed. The added charge could be more for unusually heavy or large items.
International customers: We are happy to offer combined shipping discounts to international buyers. The added charge for extra items can be higher than in the case of domestic shipping due to higher postage rates.Customers may contact us for combined shipping estimates.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: offerding from international customers is welcome! We accept PayPal payments only from other countries; we do not accept checks or currency. As noted above, we will combine shipping for international customers whenever possible and include the savings in our shipping charge on the invoice. We ship using Priority International Mail through the US Postal Service if a package weighs four pounds or more. When it weighs less, we also offer First Class International as an option. Please be aware that Priority International packages can be tracked while still in the United States, and they can be insured. First Class International cannot be insured, and so the customer assumes a risk for this less expensive choice. Also, please be aware that we do not mark items as \"gifts\" or report lower sales values on customs forms.
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding or buying.

RETURN POLICY: Returns are accepted for refund within a 14-day period of the receipt of the merchandise. We will refund shipping charges and return postage when defects or item characteristics were not noted in the original sales listing. In other cases, the refund covers just the purchase price. A returned item must be received in the same condition as when the item was sent.
