A Fine Antique Shooting interest Austrian Cold Painted Bronze Partridge/Pheasant Paper/Letter Clip.
Depicting a Partridge (or Pheasant) and mounted on a solid wooden base, above which is a swivel hanger for wall or desk display.
The bronze casting and hand painted attention to detail is exceptional and quite possibly by Franz Bergman (but not marked).
On the reverse is a Retailers Label (most appropriately named) which reads: \"L. PARTRIDGE (LATE HENRY ROBINSON) LEATHER &FANCY GOODS DEPT. 14 HIGH STREET SHREWSBURY\".
In Excellent condition for age with one loose screw on the hinge holding the Partridge/Pheasant to the base, that may need replacing if so desired (I have left as is and untouched).An interesting and practical paper clip which displays well on a desk or wall and an ideal addition for the hunting collector.
