Offered for sale is a fine 19th centuryantique bronze figure from Nepal.

It isa man riding a horse. It has an amazing patina colors of old age. Remarkable.

From western Nepal around the hill town ofJajarkot originated many of these primitive bronze figures.

They wereassociated with the practice of shamanism and were largely donated to temples

where shamans exercised as much influence as priests.
