    Antique 19th Century German Solid Silver & glass large, extremely decorative Wine Claret jug, the cranberry glass body is beautifully hobnail-cut and applied with silver medallions flanked by winged figures, the clear glass neck is mounted with a silver collar profusely chased in a neo-Renaissance style, scroll handle. The hinged lid parcel gilt and applied with a decorative finial. The jug rests on a silver base. The cover is Hallmarked German silver (800 standard), Bremen, year 1880\'s, Maker\'s mark for Koch & Bergfeld, important manufacturer founded in the 1829. Serial number 7197. The base is applied with the retailer\'s mark.
