Antique 9K solid yellow gold framed carved shell portrait cameo showing what appears to a man in uniform and quite possibly a civil war soldier. The cameo measures 1 3/8\" x 1 1/8\" and has a gross weight of 7.4 grams. Condition is in the fair to good range. The original pinback fastener has been removed and the cameo now has a bale for wear on a necklace as a pendant. The necklace seen in some pics IS NOT INCLUDED in the sale. Only the cameo is being sold. The carving shows fine detail but there is a small crack in the shell near the outer edge of the top left when looking at it. The crack does not involve the head.
