Alovely, smaller-scaleantique, high roundednatural shell cameo; hand carved to depict Medusa, with drooping wingsand snakes in her hair and round her neck,in an engravedsolid9 carat gold mountfor wear as a pin.

A highly sought after, fabulously collectable little cameo...sowearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slightest signs of wear to mount and shell commensurate with age & use, see pics.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1880/90. Mount stamped \'9ct\'.

DIMENSIONS:Mount 27 x 23mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx.5.7 grams.
