Depicting a blue eyed young girl, with dazzling blond hair anda defiant look...She appears to be resenting the special occasion attire. Her wornpink slippers reveal her true self. She is clutching a ball which she would have preferred to be playing with, rather than pose for this annoying painter. On the floor, next to her, is a torn & tired racquet. Gorgeous-so very well done. Signed on the LR by the well listed NY artist Weedon Grossmith(1854 - 1919)
