This attractive art nouveau brooch is of French origins and is signed \'Becker\' on the front. The brooch features a lady with flowing hair on the front wearing a crown or helmet and has foliage decoration with a scythe on the back. The brooch is stamped \'FIX\' on the back - this is a type of gold-plating common in France. The brooch retains its original pin. We believe it to date from c.1905.

Condition: Overall good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some tarnishing and grubbiness and the brooch would benefit from a careful clean and polish. There is some scratching to the back of the brooch. The pin of the brooch is bent.
