Antique brass theca case 1,2 inches high (3cm) with hanging hook which contains a relic of St.Alphonsus De Liguori(1696-1787) Italian bishop, spiritual author of books, musician, poet, philosopher and theologian. Founder of the Congregation Of The Most Holy Redeemer ( The Redemptorists ). Devoted to helping the poor and declared Doctor of the Church for his religious writtings.

Oval golden brass case decorated on front with flowery pattern designs and on the back case cover with a portrait of the Virgin Mary. The interior is under glass on a dark red cloth backing with ornate golden decorations, the relic is placed on a black backing above the name label which reads \" S.Alphon.de Lig.Ep. \".

The back case cover can be removed to view the red string seals and the official red wax Church seal with cardinal\'s hat and stem, all are in place and intact.

Antique relic piece in excellent condition with minor signs of wear and age.
