Please see photosI don\'t know the exact age- bbb was formed in 1878- it\'s very old but I have no way to date it exactlythe hand carved ebony handle is lovelyit totals 7 1/4 tall with the lid on and about 8 across at it\'s widestIt does not sit totally squarely- it is a little crooked- but I\'m selling it as found as is- please take that into considerationwhen I measure it from the rim to the base in 4 places- at the corner of the ebony handle - on each side of the spout- and on the other side it varies by 1/8 at it\'s most, and if you feel the base under the bottom of the handle you can feel a small crease-
