ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN KARAGASHLI KUBA RUG CIRCA 1880\'S 3.3\" x 5.3\" ESTATE FIND Really being sold as is. This one has had a rough life. This kind of rug can be a very highly sought after rug, but sadly this one has seen better days. A very old rug from the late 1800\'s. Fine weave as seen. Wool foundation. The rug is crooked by a few inches. Very low pile to the nap with foundation showing and several areas of touchup to cover. Keep in mind, this would have been a very thin rug to begin with. Shows replaced selvedge with wear, slight losses to both ends and several crude repairs.
Great collector starter rug. Not to be passed in my opinion. As always, I do recommend a good soak and cleaning of all estate rugs when coming from an estate to a new owner.
