Manufactured by the highly regarded Doulton Pottery when they were located in the Staffordshire town of Burslem, the impressed mark on this plate dates the manufacture to 1896.

The pattern on this plate features a variety birds, palm trees, and tropical foliage.

The plate is trimmed with gilding, though the gold has worn off somewhat, which is to be expected with normal wear on an item that is nearly 120 years old!

There are no chips or crazing on this plate. Other than the gold being somewhat worn, this plates is in very good condition!
