This Gingerbread Style Clock I purchased at an estate. It was so OLD/ANTIQUE looking and had so much character and history I couldn\'t help myself ;) Unfortunately, the top part of the beautifully designed wood is missing. But, it still wants to work, even without a key. While taking photos, it started ticking and the pendulum started moving. It ran for a little while. I noticed at the half hour & hour when it\'s suppose to \'gong\' the metal piece that goes up against the metal rings, it rises slowly and comes back down but does not go all the way against the metal ring to make the \'ding\' or \'gong\' sound and you can hear it as it rises and comes back down. So, I am not sure what it needs. There was also a metal piece that came with it. It\'s not a key but is like a triangle at the top and then has the metal stick piece coming down from it. The face shows a lot of wear as you will see in the photos. The glass and what wood is there looks to be intact. Looking with a magnifying glass at the bottom of the worn face, I noticed some fine print. I am not sure but it looks like \'WATERBURY\' But, again, I am not sure. There\'s still a piece of the worn, torn discolored paper on the back. Photos taken of all sides angles. The way it is right now, it measures approximately 21 inches tall, approximately 14 3/4 inches side to side, widest part and front to back, approximately 4 1/2 inches. Again, NO KEY & the the top part is MISSING. BUT it, does look to have the inner workings/mechanism, pendulum and the other little metal piece mentioned above. The glass and what wood is there still looks to be intact. Thanks for your interest and looking :)
