FRENCH 19TH CENTURY EMPIRE STYLE BRASS CANDLESTICKS
FINE ANTIQUE FRENCH EMPIRE CANDLESTICKSThis style brass candlestick was made 1840-1860in France. Numerous fine decorative detail on base,columns, and the bobeches, which are original.They have old tape wrapped around them to securethem tightly into the candle cups. The tape can beeasily removed, but it has certainly helped to preventtheir loss over the years.

The screw connection works well. No repairs,significant dents, nor pitting. Very sophisticatedmanufacture, as we have been unable to locatea seam down the columns.Approximately8 and 1/4 inches tall with thebobeches in place. Bases are about 4 inches indiameter.
