This trunk has so much history, I can write a book about it.
Imagine what is was like for the Elite to travel with these unique pieces. And Now you even have to pay for your carry ons.This sale is for a large and impressive E. Goyard steamer trunk, Paris, France circa 1930. It features a steamer trunk covered with Goyard signature chevron canvas and befitted with patinated locks. The steamer trunk opens to reveal the original fitted interior with leather Goyard pulls that accent the five drawers. The top drawer has dividers in it and has the key. The other side has metal sliders that pull out and holds 8 of the original wood hangers. Under that is a case that comes out and can be used separate. The last hanger has a canvas bag. Not sure if that was used for laundry or shoes. All the drawers and latches work. The top of the case has residue of a travel sticker and is missing the leather strap to the handle.The trunk stands 41inches tall and 29 deep and 21wide. It appears that the entire trunk is in original condition with all Goyard hardware and fitting.
