ANTIQUE GEORGIAN 18CT GOLD AQUAMARINE
PENDANT CIRCA 1800
This fabulous antique Georgian 18ct Gold Aquamarine pendant is Circa 1800.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred
years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise
to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in
these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
The pendant boasts a 0.80ct Aquamarine in the centre which is surroundedby a
halo of 0.20ct Aquamarines.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March and is adored for it’s beautiful clear Ocean
blue colour which complements most skin types. The stone was once believed
to be the treasure of Mermaids, and was used as a token
of happiness and good fortune.
The pendant is set in a beautifully engraved 18ct Yellow Gold gallery displaying
stunning Georgian workmanship of it’s time.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history. A truly stunning Georgian
piece that would look beautiful displayed on a Gold chain.
