ANTIQUE GEORGIAN TURQUOISE 18CT GOLD BRACELET

BOXED WITH LOCKET

This very beautiful Georgian boxed 18ct Gold bracelet is adorned with

Turquoises, Circa 1800.

Fabulous Georgian workmanship all round, intricate detail with

Turquoise sections.

The bracelet is in its original box, a lovely deep maroon plush Velvet

and Leather box.

The original Turquoise Gold locket is set with a heart back locket, which has an

original photograph in of a gentleman.

The bracelet has been tested for 18ct Gold.

The Turquoise Stone has healing properties, it protects the wearer from negative

energy and brings good fortune.

Turquoise is the symbol of friendship, and also brings peace to the home.

It is also a symbol of forget me not.

\"Forget-me-not, O Lord!\" is what a poor German knight shouted

as he fell into a river.

He and his lady were picking flowers by the side of the river at the time, no doubt

enjoyingthe beautiful day around them, and yet as fate would have it,

the knight\'s armour draggedhim down to the bottom as he fell in.

Upon his cries to the Lord, he threw the blue posy offlowers to his loved

one and promptly drowned.

This little tale reportedly dates to around the 15thcentury, but no doubt had different

permeations along the way, as romantic stories often do.

Hence, the concept of remembrance, eternal love and faithfulness grow from this.

Complete with a 18ct Gold safety chain.

This has to be one of the prettiest Georgian Turquoise bracelets we have

seen in 18ct solid Gold.

Steeped in English history, purchased from London.

Excellent all round condition, one Turquoise is missing which can

easily be replaced.

This will fit a 6.5 inch wrist.

Weighs 12.9 grams.

The panels measures 20mm across x 8mm down.

The locket measures 19mm down x 14mm across.

The heart on the reverse of the locket measures 8mm across x 9mm down.
