This listing is for the second of two similar pewter pitchers we currently have on . The container is ribbed with vertical wavy lines. The pitcher measures 9 1/2\" high to the top of the finial, 4 1/2\" wide at the widest part of the body. it is 7\" from the tip of the spout to the rear of the handle. The base is 4\" in diameter, and the top opening is 3 1/4.\" It weighs 2.1 pounds.
CONDITION: The pitcher has a great aged patina. There are some small age and use marks as expected. There is a small dent on the back left side. Inside thereis light spotting and tarnishing. The top opening has a slight rim dent that makes it a little \"out of round.\" But its not very distinguishable unless looking at it from above with the lid open. A remnant of what apparently was a wicker type handle wrap appears on the handle. There is a makers mark on the inside bottom of an Angel, but the wording underneath the image is illegible. Several early German makers utilized variations of the angel mark.
