ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN PIPE HAND CARVED BONE & WOOD ORNATE ORIGINAL STEM 1870s:

This is an early German porcelain smoking pipe over 130 years old with its original hand carved ornate wood and bone stem......the length of the pipe is 14 1/2\"......the porcelain bowl has a hand painted scene of a German boy standing in a field of wheat holding a red and green wreath with a long blade scythe behind him.....German inscriptions above and below.....bowl has an old 1\"hairline crack on side. It is firmly anchored into the carved wood \"filter\" base.......

The main section of the long stem is made of hand carved spirals of bone or horn or something which has a threaded end which screws tightly into an adapter which is anchored into the wood filter base.....a spinning wheel midway up stem has 8 knobs....flexible mesh tube connects the mouthpiece to the main section of stem; all in excellent condition with no chips or damage. Everything guaranteed authentic and from the 1800s. Although I\'m sure it hasnt been smoked for 100 years, I blew into the mouthpiece and could smell Tobacco!
