Up for sale is George Studdy creation of a dog called Bonzo in the form of a trinket or powder box. He was created around 1922 in England as a cartoon character & became popular around the world. (Photo 4.) This sweet puppy has the typical droopy looking face with his red tongue hanging out of his mouth (goodness what did he do now?!) and a stubby little tail.He has long floppy ears, four white paws, a white muzzle & a black nose. He has big forest green goggly eyes with jet black pupils looking upwards. He has a big bow tied under his canine chin. He is incised on the front porcelain where the cover fits into the bottom part with his model number \"6509.\"(Last photo.) He is a mischievous character so one will have to keep an eye on him but he will bring a lot of joy!!This has absolutely no chips, cracks, flakes, or restoration anywhere.There is some paint wear but overall very little. (A wee bit on his tongue.) This sweet crittermeasuresapproximately 4 1/2 inches high (photo 8)andapproximately 5 inches wide.(Photo 11.)Allmeasurements taken at longest/widest/highest points.
