We are pleased to offer this remarkable, antique, Gueridon table. The table datesto the early 1900s. It features4 fluted, flat profile legs with a 4 section, flutedstretcher support.The stretcher is attached via old flat screws and small nails. There are 4 angled, deeply carved supports that connect the upper legs to the table top. These supports connect to the legs via wooden dowels.

The tabletop is quite unique. It features a crotch maple wood LOOK glass top. The maple graining is a butterfly pattern. The topis not wooden, but rather a superb, eglomise (reverse paint)technique painted on the reverse side of the glass top. The effect is remarkable and it is very hard to discern that it is not wood.The glass is surrounded with a wooden frame. The frame is French Victorian in style. It has a recessed inner section andis raised at the outside area. There is a notched pattern that is presentaround the entire perimeter of the frame. There are 4 sections of raised, barbola rose swags.

The table legs and stretcher are finished in a medium brown stain. The frame has an old painted finish. The paint is medium brown and blends well with thewood stain. The table is lightweight. It is sturdy but, it is old andthere is some movementwhich can probably be resolved. There are a few scratches and scuffs on the legs and the paint on the frame does have some minor cracking/crazing. These are not distracting and can be resolved as well. In general, the table isin good condition. It is quite beautiful and the top is very unique.

The table measures 27.25\" tall. The top frame is 19.25\" in diameter and the table is 21.25\" in diameter at the legs.
