An antique 1835 Hall, Hewson& Co. coin silver shovel formnut scoop in its original leather bound fitted case. The scoop measures 9\" long and weighs 3.15 troy ounces. Excellent condition with no dings or bends and only modest wear. Nicely etched bowl shows a grouping of nuts in the shells. The scoop is stamped H.H. & Co. patent 1835 along with the original retailer Dempsey & Fargis. The case shows some wear and the lid is detached from the base but the velvet linedinside is clean.
