This is a very old rug and has some threads that have given up as shown in some of our photos. Some of the \"pennies\" have worn also. There is one area on the edge of the backing has let loose that we are showing you that the backing inside the denim was burlap. The back of the rug has had a denim fabric sewn on to give the rug some strength sometime in it\'s past, we do not know when that was done or how old the rug itself is but believe the rug is from around the turn of the century but have no way of verifying it.Please look at all the photos supplied, as they are considered part of our description as well as the written portion..
