Antique Heddon Black Sucker Minnow In Box:
This iconic Heddon piece wasintroduced in 1911. Most Black Suckers come in the 'black sucker' finish which includes a pinkish stripe down the side, this earlier verision is in 'sucker' finish and doesn't come around much. This series 1300 is 5 3/4 inches long, has heavy duty cup hardware and hooks, front stamped prop, and glass eyes. There are light varnish pops over all, one small ding by the right hookhanger, a small paint chip (very small!)on the top tail fin, and that's about it. Paint is still on the belly weight too. This lure was found in an old out buildingand the accompanying box shows that. It's a Heddon Musky Vamp box (unmarked), which Heddon used for these big lures occasionally. While the box is legible over all, including the Musky Vamp Minnowend label,it is very brittle andfrail from exposure to the elements, but still intact. I'm surprised it survived as well as it did. Thiscombo will be packed especiallycareful. If you've always wanted aBlack Sucker in your collection, here it is. See pics for condition. I'll be glad to combine shipments for sales running close to each other, contact me on that and on payment type. Iowa buyers add 7%.
