INGRAHAM 8 DAY \"KEEN KUTTER\" ADVERTISMENT CLOCK (ca. 1908)
You are offerding on a wonderful antique advertisement clock madeby the E. INGRAHAM CO. in 1908. This is classified as an oak, 12\" Drop Octagon. It is an 8 day, time only regulator and is in wonderful shape for a clock over 100 years old. There are no damages or previous repair to the case. This clock measures 25\" tall, 18\" wide, and 4 1/2\" deep. The 12\" paper dial has faded some but is in excellent shape. It advertises for E.C. SIMMONS KEEN KUTTER.I believe the glasses, key, and pendulum bob are original. The hands, I thought,were from an Ansoniaclock, but after looking through some of my clock catalogs, Ingraham used this variety also. The label on the back is about 95% complete. The movement was completely overhauled, ultrasonically cleaned, and lubricated and runs great. Ineeded to install three bushings. The movement is stamped E. INGRAHAM CO. BRISTOL, CN U.S.A. It is also stamped with the numerals 12 08. This indicates that it was made in Dec. of 1908. This is one of the fancier Ingraham octagon clock regulators and KEEN KUTTER is a highly sought after name. The two together make this a very collectible clock. Good luck and happy offerding.
